OUTDOOR SKILLS

The immersive outdoor camp is designed to provide you with a comprehensive set of skills and knowledge necessary for outdoor adventures. The camp covers a wide range of topics. With our experienced facilitators leading the training, you can learn the skills necessary to explore the great outdoors safely and confidently:

• “Leave no trace”-principle,
• Planning, preparing and backpacking,
• Setting-up tarps, tents, and campsites,
• The art of making fire,
• Assessing and purifying water,
• Food and cooking in the outdoors,
• Orientation and navigation,
• Weather forecast,
• First Aid,
• Natural hazards and crisis management,
• Environmental stewardship.

Eligibility:

• Between 21 and 36 of age,
• Passionate on outdoor activities,
• Love the nature and the relevant challenges,,
• Good physical fitness: you need to be able to hike 12 km distance and 800 m of attitude,
• ASEAN citizens.

Camp Fee:

• 40 USD

YEP-Academy provides the following needs:

• Camping/outdoor equipment and training materials,
• Facilitation costs,
• National Park fees,
• Overnight fees,
• Food (will be provided during the camp)
• Transportation (round trip from the departure point in Phnom Penh to Khnang Psar Mountain).
