BASIC OUTDOOR SKILLS

Being outdoors on an adventure means having basic knowledge and skills, which will keep you safe and make sure you can enjoy nature and the environmental surroundings. The camp covers essential topics including choosing the location for camping, making a fire, finding drinking water, and orientation. With our experienced facilitator, you will expand your skills and make yourself independent when you are out there.

During this three-day training, you will get basic knowledge and skills for the outdoor such as:

• learn how to set up campsite; 
• learn how to find drinkable water and make fire;
• learn how to orient by using a compass with games and other activities; 
• learn how to read the cloud for weather forecasts;
• experience the exchange next to the bonfire; 
• meet like-minded people who share the same values and interests

Eligibility:

• Cambodian
• Novice (Beginner to outdoor settings)
• 18 - 30 years old
• Have willingness to take challenges
• Have curiosity to learn

Camp Fee:

• 25 USD

YEP-Academy provides the following needs:

• food (seven meals during the camp);
• Transportation (round trip from the departure point to the campsite);
• Camping equipment and training materials
• Trainer's fee
